Little Back Yard Landscape in Tehachapi is Now Living Large
Before & After
Project Details
This new construction landscaping in town has a small lot that is living large with a sizable patio for dining and entertaining. It is completed with a fountain that can be seen and heard through the large picture window that is visible as soon as you walk into the home’s main living area. A small amount of lawn on either side of the hardscape softens the look and the foundation beds and perimeter borders are full of evergreen and flowering shrubs and grasses that will give it a lush look year round. Large Flowering Pear trees and white climbing Iceberg Roses, Pink Lemonade Honeysuckle and Clematis bring vertical interest to the south side, where a path leads to a round patio that will have a bistro table and chairs. There is also a raised bed just the right size to grow a few vegetables for this family of two.
Through the sliding glass door from the master bedroom this Mr. and Mrs. can see a small green oasis of lawn with a destination bench framed by two Purple Leaf Japanese Maples that provide privacy and screening of an unattractive building behind. A Redbud tree and white Climbing Iceberg Rose add year round interest to the evergreen Blue Fescue Grasses, Mugo Pines and Boxwood.
