I found a great garden destination in Bakersfield that I want to share.
It is a little place with a big amount of charm!
When I pulled up to Cricklewood I was immediately captured by the old bicycle out front overflowing with flowers.
Walking through the gate I left the hot dry world of Bakersfield behind and found a sanctuary of plants, pots, fountains and all kinds of accessories for the descriminating gardener.
Each area is its own little vignette, oozing with personality
The layout is nothing like the ordinary nursery, with plants in neat rows, or grouped together solely on the basis of how easy it is to water them.
This place is put together by someone who is obviously passionate about creating personalized spaces for people who enjoy outdoor living. That person is Joanna Reed, who not only designs gardens but is also a licensed contractor.
While wandering through I found something to delight me every time a turned a corner!
There are many creative items that would make wonderful gifts, and a green house full of choice plants and statuary.
When in Bakersfield stop by and take in the lovely sights and soothing sound of running water in this unique nursery.
