From Bland to Beautiful In Stallion Springs
Before & After
This small tract home provided a blank slate to develop the client’s wish list. Warmth and charm were added by using brick veneer around the garage door, windows and as an accent to the pillars. The white front door was changed out for a more suitable one and the ‘L’ shaped walkway was removed and replaced by one that curves graciously, with strips of banding made of pavers that are in the same color family as the brick.
The round concrete slab near the front door provided an opportunity to create a courtyard feel with a boxwood hedge and ground cover as well a climbing rose and Honeysuckle trellised up the side of the garage. A small oasis of lawn, with an island of Birch trees adds interest, along with deep borders encircling the lawn and paths, planted with perennials and roses. A birdbath close to the front door brings feathered friends within view of the dining room and bedroom windows.
