Red Hawk

Every day I am working with interesting and dynamic people!

This week I was privileged to complete a Master Landscape Plan for some great folks who just moved up to Tehachapi from the coast.

I thought it was so fun that they actually named their home Red Hawk, after the hawk that is often seen gliding on the thermals right outside their window. Yes, they live on the edge of a precipice that affords them a beautiful view of the valley below.

Their architect expressed to them that he thought all homes should be named by their owners. I think it is a great concept. A few years back I decided to call our home ‘Blue Oak Cottage’, after the Blue Oaks that are heavily populating the area where I live and my home in particular. It seemed so fitting, as does the name Red Hawk for the home of these clients.
